Review

Since 2005, the “Werkstatt für Kreative” has been offering creative workshops for children and young people between the ages of 5 and 18.

A look at the current programme and the last programmes of the Werkstatt für Kreative:

Program: Auf Schatzsuche – Objekte aus Modelliermasse

To accompany the exhibition “WIR. Nähe und Distanz – Jubiläumsausstellung mit Werken aus der Kunstsammlung der Berliner Volksbank,” the Werkstatt für Kreative will teach the technique of modelling in age-differentiated workshops from February to the end of June 2021.

August till December 2020: Magische Einblicke – Malerei auf Glas

For the exhibition “Die wilden 20er – Nach(t)leben einer Epoche. Werke aus der Kunstsammlung der Berliner Volksbank,” the Werkstatt für Kreative will teach the technique of glass painting in age-differentiated workshops from the end of August to mid-December 2020.

February to June 2020: Kopfbilder – Porträts auf handgeschöpftem Papier

To accompany the exhibition “Tête-à-Tête.Köpfe aus der Kunstsammlung der Berliner Volksbank” (Tête-à-Tête. Heads from the Art Collection of the Berliner Volksbank), the Werkstatt für Kreative will teach the technique of portraits on handmade paper in age-differentiated workshops from January to the end of June 2020.

August until December 2019: Mauer(n) ritzen – Sgraffito auf Ölpastell

As part of the exhibition “ZEITENWENDE – Dreißig Jahre Mauerfall. Werke aus der Kunstsammlung der Berliner Volksbank,” the Werkstatt für Kreative devoted itself to the special technique of “sgrafitto”. In this centuries-old scratching technique, works of art are created by scratching away layers of paint.

March to July 2019: Die dritte Dimension – Pop-Up Art

Inspired by a joint visit to the exhibition “BOHÈME IN CHARLOTENBURG – Hans Laabs. Werke aus der Kunstsammlung der Berliner Volksbank”, the participants designed their own compositions from drawing and decorative papers, inspired by the artist’s motifs, under the expert guidance of the art educators.

February to July 2018: Vom Scheitel zur Schulter – Büsten modellieren

Starting with works from the collection of the Berliner Volksbank, children and young people looked at busts and paintings from the art collection that are based on the human anatomy. The characteristics of this art form were worked out and then practically implemented with air-drying modelling clay.
