Philipp Schack was born in 1967 in East Berlin. From 1989 to 1994, he studied painting at the Berlin-Weißensee Academy of Art under Dieter Goltzsche and Wolfgang Peuker. From 1994 to 1995, Schack was a master student under Wolfgang Peuker. In 1997, he was awarded a scholarship by the Käthe Dorsch Foundation. From 2001 to 2006, he taught at the Schwerin School of Graphic Design. Schack died in Berlin in 2006.
