As a partner of FEZitty, Berliner Volksbank eG, together with the Stiftung KUNSTFORUM der Berliner Volksbank gGmbH, supported one of the most popular summer holiday events in Berlin from July 9th to August 17th, 2018.

Every Tuesday and Thursday, every hour at 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., young hobby printers could try their hand at designing banknotes in the creative workshop.

Art educators from the Stiftung KUNSTFORUM der Berliner Volksbank gGmbH “Werkstatt für Kreative” instructed children between the ages of 6 and 14 in designing and printing the coveted “Wuhlis”. This is the currency with which the activities in the “capital of children” are rewarded.
With the results, the participants were able to take part in the “New Wuhlis for FEZitty” competition. A jury will award the best designs from the workshop “Wuhlis”. They could then become the official “means of payment” at FEZitty in 2019.

Especially in the fifth week of vacation, everything revolves around the topic of money. The aim was to show in a playful way how important it is to take good care of your financial affairs.

The Stiftung KUNSTFORUM der Berliner Volksbank gGmbH has been involved in the field of culture for children and young people for many years. The free workshops of the “Werkstatt für Kreative” were launched thirteen years ago. Since then, around 2,150 school classes from Berlin and Brandenburg with more than 46,000 children and young people have attended the workshops.
